Below covers how Come responds to reports of copyright infringement. Come respects intellectual-property rights and asks that any report include the elements listed below so the team can act quickly.
What to include in a report
- An identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- An identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for Come to locate it.
- Your contact information, including name, address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
How Come handles a report
The Come team reviews each report. Where the report identifies the material clearly and meets the elements above, Come removes or disables access to the identified material and notifies the user who posted it.
Counter notification
If you believe material removed under this process is not infringing, you may submit a counter notification that includes the elements of 17 U.S.C. §512(g). Come forwards the counter notification and restores the material in accordance with the statute.
